The Rhode Island Philharmonic Orchestra & Music School is committed to engaging people of Southern New England as lifelong music listeners, teachers, learners, creators and performers. We are the only professional orchestra in the country to officially designate music education and performance as equal priorities.
The RI Philharmonic Music School offers a wide range of music education programs and performance opportunities to people of all ages, incomes and ability levels.
Our dedicated teachers, conductors and coaches include members of the Rhode Island Philharmonic Orchestra and graduates & faculty of the best college music programs in the U.S.
1. Lessons ignite new passions. Music helps kids find hobbies and interests they haven't yet discovered.
2. Kids learn to connect to their emotions. Music gives children a way to express and feel emotions beyond words.
3. Music offers a new way to learn. Through private lessons, kids learn autonomy and independence, getting the opportunity to self-direct their studies.
4. Music opens doors. Lessons teach kids that it's ok to try new things - and that learning is about the process, not perfection.
5.
It's just fun!
Kids learn self-esteem, confidence and more - all while having a good time.
